Due to the after-effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and growing inflation rates, many communities have been struggling with affordable housing.
This fall, three local organizations are partnering to bring awareness to homelessness in our community.
Habitat for Humanity, The Haven, and Hope House are collaborating for the 7th annual Cardboard City event from 4 pm October 14th to 8 am October 15th.
During the event, the community is invited to sleep outside overnight in a cardboard box home, a tent, or in their car at First Presbyterian Church at 502 N 8th Street in Manitowoc.
The groups are still looking for sponsors and are available at several different price points.
