The City of Manitowoc has recently sold a property for $1.6 million.
The property is the Manitowoc Visitor Center on Dewey Street, near KFC.
Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels explained on WOMT’s Be My Guest the process of selling the space and what it will hold for Manitowoc.
“We’ve been in negotiations for that for a couple of years now,” the mayor noted. “It started out as a third party, and when that happens, we don’t know exactly what’s going to go there, but we know what the company has done in the past, we’ve seen Texas Roadhouse and all that type of stuff from the company.”
Nickels also noted that while it will be “just a carwash” the sale brings in $1.6 million dollars in proceeds, and that will go into tourism.”
Club Car Wash has several other locations throughout the state and the Midwest.
