The Rahr-West Art Museum will be presenting a juried exhibition of works through September 17th.
“Being: A Recognition of Self and Other” offers a wide scope of artistic interpretation around issues of personal and social identity.
Art historian Dr. Sam Watson of the University of Wisconsin Green-Bay served as the exhibit’s juror and announced the winners at a reception on Sunday, August 20th.
First Prize went to Barbara Miner for her photograph, second prize went to Kyle Gorenschek for his oil painting, and third prize went to Amal Azzam for her mixed media work.
The Juried exhibit will rotate with the Members and Manitowoc County Exhibit in an effort to expand programming and reach new artists and audiences.
Hours and visitor information can be found online at RahrWestArtMuseum.org.
