With the new Van der Brohe Arboretum (VDBA) opening in Two Rivers, supporters of the venue have planned an “Arboretum Walk and Lunch” for this Saturday (August 26th).
The plan is to meet at the Arboretum at 10:30 a.m. at 3800 Lincoln Avenue and walk the one-mile loop around the park.
The arboretum, a former 65-acre golf course, has been converted into an ecological center focused on educating and displaying various tree types and species of Two Rivers.
After the walk, the group will stop for lunch at the Two Rivers Family Restaurant and then walk out to the North Pierhead Light Tower for anyone who is interested.
Since it is an outdoor event, dress for the weather and come ready to walk.
