A man was arrested in Manitowoc over the weekend after a fight outside of a downtown bar.
According to police reports, an officer was on patrol when he saw a group of people arguing outside of Déjà Vu, located at the corner of Buffalo and North 8th Streets.
The officer noted that one of the individuals took up what they referred to as a “boxer’s stance”, so they approached.
Most of the people in the argument fled the scene, but one person was on the ground crying due to, according to the victim, being punched by a 38-year-old man.
The suspect was among the group that ran, but the backup was able to locate him inside the bar.
A witness reported that she was outside with the victim when the suspect punched the victim, causing them to fall to the ground.
A search of the man revealed a concealed knife and a background check revealed he was a convicted felon.
The man claimed to be working at Déjà vu and was helping the bouncer remove rowdy customers.
He was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Carrying a Concealed Knife.
