The Oak Creek high school teacher who has been charged with engaging in a sexual relationship with a student is now scheduled to proceed to trial.
A court commissioner made the determination recently that the available evidence against 22-year-old Rachel Goodle merits advancing the case.
Testifying in court, an Oak Creek detective affirmed that the student involved, with whom Goodle is alleged to have had a sexual encounter, corroborated that the incident took place in her classroom when he was 14 years old.
In a separate legal maneuver, Goodle is actively working to maintain the confidentiality of her personnel records within Oak Creek Schools.
She has initiated legal action, filing a lawsuit aimed at preventing the school district from disclosing her disciplinary records, which might possibly contain information about any previous misconduct.
