This September 9-10, the Manitowoc County Historical Society is hosting a “Mid-Lakes Thresheree”, an event full of antique farming re-creations, contests, food, and hands-on demonstrations.
The Historical Society has partnered with the Mid-Lakes Rustic Iron Club to host this event at 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc from 10 am-4 pm each day.
Admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for youth ages 4-17, and free for any children younger than 4.
Admission is free for members. Some activities include live field demonstrations of farm equipment from the 1890s-1960s, hands-on activities about agriculture, farmhand contests, and the chance to learn about steam engines.
There will be more interactive field-to-fork demonstrations and a scavenger hunt for all ages, but those are just a few activities offered.
No carry-ins are permitted, and tickets can be purchased on-site or pre-purchased on the website. Please note that some exhibit areas have limited accessibility.
A full schedule of activities and tickets can be found at ManitowocCountyHistory.org.
