A former Manitowoc County Board Member and Kiel Police Chief has died.
Manitowoc County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer says it was Ricky Sloan, who represented Kiel from 1992 to 2006.
He was 80 years old.
Sloan’s obituary says he spent 29 years with Kiel Police, 20 years as its chief.
He also worked with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation when he was chair of the county’s Highway Committee.
Ziegelbauer says in honor of his service, flags will be lowered to half-staff on September 23rd for his celebration of life.
He’s survived by his wife and two children.
