Manitowoc and Two Rivers are welcoming the Studebaker Drivers Club International meet this year for the first time.
Each year, drivers of Studebakers across the world come together for a car meet, where owners can meet other drivers and share history together.
The Wisconsin Region of the club has decided to host the event in Manitowoc with stops in Two Rivers and Green Bay.
There will be driving tours to Lambeau Field, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum, breweries, wineries, restaurants, and more.
There will also be a swap meet, judging, memorabilia, and a ladies’ luncheon at the Rahr-West Art Museum.
On Wednesday, September 13th, there will be a parade at night from the UW-Green Bay Manitowoc campus to downtown Two Rivers, where there will be food trucks, a seminar at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, and other attractions at the fairgrounds.
Studebaker drivers will be visiting Manitowoc from Tuesday (12th) through Saturday (16th), and the City of Manitowoc officials and Tourism Director Courtney Hansen are expecting over 1,000 people and 100 antique Studebakers.
Tuesday through Thursday is only open to members of the Studebaker Drivers Club, Avanti Owners Association International, and the Antique Studebaker Club, but Friday, the public is welcome to the Manitowoc County Fairgrounds for free for an All Makes Classic Car Show.
Registration for the show is $10 per show car.
