Manitowoc’s Evergreen Cemetery needs to be cleaned up for fall.
Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski tells Seehafer news that lot owners are respectfully asked to remove their decorations like flowers, statues, and other memorabilia by October 1st.
If items aren’t removed, cemetery staff will dispose of them, and flowers found on gravesites will be cut down to ground level.
The city is asking people to wait to put out winter decorations until November 15th.
They remind lot owners that items should be kept close to the markers, so they are not damaged from snow blowing for a grave opening in the nearby area.
