One new police officer and two firefighters were sworn into new roles at the Manitowoc Common Council meeting on Monday.
Police Officer Richard Moehling worked 12 years for the U.S. Coast Guard doing federal law enforcement and responding to search and rescue calls.
He later attended the Law Enforcement Academy at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay.
He worked for the Brown County Sheriff’s Department before accepting his job as a Manitowoc Police Officer.
Firefighters Christensen and MacDonald were promoted to Motor Pump Operators.
Their families pinned their new badges after they were sworn in.
