It is a busy day in local and area sports.
Starting with cross country, it’s time for the 50th Annual Jim Bremser race, which is being held at Mishicot Elementary School.
The first race will begin at 3:40 this afternoon in honor of former runner Jim Bremser who was killed when hit by a car the week of Mishicot’s Homecoming in October of 1973.
There are 3 games of local interest on the High School Football schedule tonight including the Reedsville Panthers seeking a 6th consecutive win at home against Random Lake.
It is Hilbert’s Homecoming as the Wolves meet up with the Rockets of Cedar Grove-Belgium.
Also, Sheboygan Falls has a road trip to Port Washington, where the Pirates are this week’s 2nd-ranked football team in the Associated Press State Division-4 poll.
Meanwhile on the girls’ volleyball courts, Manitowoc Lincoln is hosting Notre Dame Academy, Brillion invades Two Rivers, and Roncalli is in Kiel.
In girls tennis, Manitowoc Lincoln will look to rebound at Bay Port while Kiel is at Kohler and the Roncalli/Two Rivers co-op hosts Ripon at Two Rivers High School.
In the pool, The Two Rivers/Roncalli Co-op is hosting the Chilton/Valders/Brillion/Kohler conglomeration as well as Plymouth, while Kiel plays host to the co-op of Berlin and Kohler.
Also on the schedule is a boys soccer match in Kiel with the Raiders hosting Kewaskum.
