In FRCC Girls Tennis Thursday afternoon, Manitowoc Lincoln High School senior Olivia Minikel withstood a major challenge in her #1 singles match as she and her teammates earned a big road win last night over Bay Port 4-to-3.
Minikel remains undefeated on the season with a 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 thriller over the Pirates talented freshman Karlie Schuck.
The Ships also received wins from singles players Jordin Popp and Molly Forkins as well as the #1 doubles tandem of Taylor Peterson and Zylia Kleinfeldt.
Lincoln improved to 13-and-5 overall, including 5-and-3 in the FRCC.
Meanwhile, the Roncalli/Two Rivers co-op tennis team picked up a pair of wins yesterday afternoon in falling to visiting Ripon 5-2.
The local squad’s victories came at #1 doubles from Madison and Megan Lamers and at 2-doubles from Andrea Rodriguez and Nevaeh Son.
The Roncalli/Two Rivers co-op takes to the road Tuesday for a conference match with Kiel.
