Manitowoc City Hall summer hours are now permanent.
The common council approved the change at Monday’s council meeting.
Eighth District Alderman Bill Schlei says the change makes sense for employees at city hall who are still working the same hours they were before.
He also says there weren’t any complaints from residents.
“So we thought great let’s make it permanent,” he said. “We’ll benefit the employees here and no harm no foul.”
The hours are now Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and 7:30 am to 11:30 am on Fridays.
Schlei says there will be some departments that will work over the weekend and won’t have hours changed.
