One of the people who competed in the 50th annual Jim Bremser Memorial Cross-Country Invite came from out of the state.
That is the first time it’s happened in all the invite’s history.
William Adams is a student at Pine River High School in Pine River, Minnesota, and was asked to compete because he is related to the Bremser family.
Adams told us that the event was a bit overwhelming because of how many teams showed up.
Normally only 10 schools would show up at a cross country event where he’s from.
But he says it was very cool to see all 39 there.
He also said he hoped that he would do well competing in the middle school division.
