A 35-year-old man is accused of trying to steal over $900 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Police say just before 1 p.m. Tuesday (September 26th), the man tried to take a cart of things out of the Walmart without paying for it.
The items included several items of clothing, a Singer sewing machine, a Circuit machine, and an electric scooter.
A worker at the store followed the man while he was shopping and confronted him when he wouldn’t pay.
He was taken to the AP Office and police were called.
The man is also currently out on bail for felony retail theft in Waukesha.
He was taken from the Walmart to the Manitowoc County Jail and charged with retail theft and bail jumping.
Because the man allegedly tried to steal over $500 worth of merchandise, it is considered a felony.
