Early last week, the Manitowoc Walmart was the target of a theft by a group of individuals wanted for a string of thefts around the state.
According to Lieutenant Cooper R. Schmidt with the Manitowoc Police Department, officers were sent to the store on Calumet Avenue on Tuesday, September 24th, on a report of a retail theft.
The three suspects were able to elude capture but were later identified as Brandon J. Reilly, Alan J. Ritchie, and Jade M. Sprang, all residents of Neenah.
The trio is also wanted for numerous retail thefts at Walmart stores around the state as reported by Walmart’s Asset Protection Team.
The Manitowoc Police Department began working with Neenah PD in an attempt to coordinate an arrest, but that proved unsuccessful.
This led to the United States Marshals Service- Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force getting involved.
They were able to find all three suspects and they were transported to the Manitowoc County Jail last Thursday.
LT. Schmidt issued a thank you to everyone who assisted in the case while saying “Our Officers work tirelessly every day to relentlessly pursue justice for victims in our community. We take pride in our work and the work we do, collaboratively with other members of law enforcement.”
