The Manitowoc Committee of Whole didn’t take any action last night (October 3rd) on the former Lakeshore Mall Property.
The committee entered a closed session to discuss the property and Common Council President Eric Sitkiewitz tells Seehafer News they want to “continue on the process.”
There has been some interest from a Green Bay company named Tycore, according to documents on the Committee of the Whole agenda.
The company is interested in redeveloping the mall and parking areas around it into 60-64 Workforce Single Family units, 88 Multi-Family Townhome style units, a regional storm pond, and connecting trails.
Sitkiewitz explained, “There’s multiple people that have had expressed interest in development around the city. We are early in that process.”
He says there will be some resolutions at the next regular common council meeting on October 16th.
