The Wisconsin DNR is inviting the public to an Open House tomorrow (October 7th) at the Besadny Anadromous Fish Facility in Kewaunee. Anadromous is defined as a fish species that spends portions of its life cycle in both fresh and salt waters.
The free annual event on Saturday will give attendees an opportunity to watch salmon egg collection demonstrations, enjoy fishing displays, and take a guided tour.
The Algoma-Kewaunee Great Lakes Sport Fishermen will be on hand to provide wagon rides from 10:00 until 1:00 p.m.
People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to attend.
The Besadny Fish Facility is a DNR egg collection site and one of the first steps in stocking trout and salmon in Lake Michigan.
