Manitowoc Lincoln Senior Olivia Minikel placed third at The WIAA State Individual Girl’s Tennis Tournament in Madison.
She first met sophomore Lexie Hankel of Janesville Craig in a Division One Semifinal Saturday morning and lost 7-5, 1-6 and 8-10 in a third
set tie breaker, then defeated senior Annaliese Yang of Sun Prairie East 6-1, 6-3 to bring home a third-place medal.
Olivia finishes her senior season with a record of 34 and 1.
Other career highlights include qualifying for and medaling at state all four years and goes down as one of the most decorated and successful tennis players in school
history.
