Today (October 14th) marks the first day of pheasant hunting season.
For the opening weekend, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says a person can only get one rooster a day.
But on Monday, that number goes up to two a day. The DNR reminds hunters to double-check legal shooting hours to get the game birds.
The DNR plans to stock 75,000 pheasants from the state game farm on over 80 properties.
Pheasant season ends on January 7th.
