Senior runners Libby Schmidt of Roncalli and Ethan Vander Meer from Kiel lead the 8th weekly High School Cross Country Honor Roll compiled by Manitowoc Lutheran Head Coach Abbey Bubolz.
Vander Meer has the fastest 5K time at 16-minutes 24 seconds and he’s followed in the top-5 by Eli Gallagher of Two Rivers at 16:32, Caleb Jatczak of Manitowoc Lincoln-16:48, Ethan’s teammate Pierce Arenz at 16:57 and TR’s Carson Kadow at 17:04.
Libby Schmidt’s best time among area girls runners is 19 minutes 28 seconds.
Trailing her are Lily Watson of Kiel-19:47, Natalie Portmann from Lincoln-19:52.3, Lily’s Raiders teammate Addison Vogel-19:52.9 and Ashley Groothoff of Two Rivers at #5 with a time of 19:57.
Local runners begin their postseason this weekend with Sectional meets in three divisions.
