A 36-year-old Manitowoc man linked to an overdose death in the city this summer is due back in Manitowoc County Circuit court next week for a preliminary hearing on several drug related charges.
Christopher L. Ducat made an initial appearance Monday and faces charges of First-Degree Reckless Homicide, Manufacturing of a Schedule I or II Drug and Manufacturing or Delivery of Methamphetamine.
Officers responded to a southside Manitowoc residence in July on the report of an unconscious individual who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A search revealed fentanyl, which is alleged to have been used by the victim and allegedly supplied to him by Ducat.
He remains in The County Jail on $50,000 cash bail with his next court appearance set for October 26th.
