Once again, the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin is made in Eastern Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce announced the winner of their annual contest, and the 2023 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin is the Bevi Bottleless Water Dispenser, manufactured by Plexus Corp. in Appleton.
Over 100 products were nominated for the contest this year, representing dozens of manufacturing sub-sectors and each corner of the state.
Eastern Wisconsin has had a stranglehold on the award since its inception in 2016.
Milwaukee-based Harley Davidson took home the inaugural award, followed by the Oshkosh Corporation in 2017, and Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe in 2018.
The award went west in 2019 with Rice Lake-based Henry Repeating Arms being honored, but in 2020 it came right back to eastern Wisconsin.
Mul Technologies of Mequon earned the 2020 honor, followed by Broadwind Heavy Fabrications in Manitowoc in 2021, and Pierce Manufacturing out of Appleton last year.
