After being postponed due to weather conditions, the grand opening of the new playground at Neshotah Park is happening this coming Sunday (October 22nd).
From 12:00 to 2 p.m. at Neshotah Park by the old baseball diamond, there will be free cider along with doughnuts provided by the Two Rivers Parks & Recreational Department to thank the community and celebrate the new addition to the city.
The Cool City Brewing Company will also be present at the event serving coffee to purchase which all the proceeds will be donated in support of the park.
The new park is also designed to be a handicap-accessible play structure to accommodate children of all abilities.
This unveiling event will be an opportunity to promote inclusivity, community, and fun.
