Kiel won both the Boys and Girls team titles at Saturday’s WIAA Division-2 Cross Country Meet held at Portage.
As a result, the Raiders qualify both teams for the State Run at Wisconsin Rapids.
Addison Vogel was first across the finish line at 19:31 with teammates Lily Watson and Lillian Larson placing 4th and 5th.
Ashley Groothoff of Two Rivers is an individual state qualifier after coming in 9th overall.
Eli Gallagher of the Two Rivers Raiders was the Boys Sectional champion with a 16:24 performance. Eli will be joined at state by teammate Carson Kadow who finished 6th.
Other top-10 finishers included the Kiel duo of Ethan Vander Meer and Pierce Arenz, 2nd and 3rd, and Brillion’s Lucas Mathes who wound up 8th.
In the D-3 Sectional at Meadow Links, hosted by Manitowoc Lutheran, Roncalli’s Libby Schmidt placed 3rd overall to qualify for state after a run of 19:39.
Joining her at Wisconsin Rapids will be Hannah Welch of Valders, who was 5th, Sectional champion Maggie Behler of Kohler and runnerup finisher Hannah Miller of Kewaunee.
Hunter Taddy of Reedsville is a boys’ state individual qualifier after placing 7th overall.
