The Manitowoc Public School District will have a negative use of fund balance at the end of the 2024 budget, but it was adopted during Tuesday’s (October 24th) special meeting.
The district will have about $95.8 million going toward expenditures while having about $94 million in revenue.
They are also asking for $25.2 million for the local tax levy.
The vote wasn’t unanimous with Board Members Matt Phipps and Matt Spaulding voting no.
Phipps says he doesn’t like how the district used general fund dollars to try to help balance the budget.
