The Manitowoc County Historical Society is raising money again for themselves.
In what’s called “appeal season,” Pinecrest Executive Director Amy Meyer says the community has repeatedly stepped up to ensure our local history is represented.
And she’s hoping they’ll do it again.
She says unlike what people think, the historical society doesn’t get any funding from the county.
Meyer says the organization’s goal this year is $25,000.
The annual appeal goes toward keeping the power on at Pinecrest Village and paying their staff.
