The Green Bay Office of the American Red Cross is urging area blood and platelet donors to give in the weeks ahead of the holiday season.
The Red Cross explains donors of all blood types are needed, especially type O and those giving platelets to help recover from a “significant shortfall in donations through late summer and fall.
Those ready to help can schedule an appointment in one of three ways: Using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
To thank donors to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the movie Elf and create holiday cheer, all who come to give between November 10th and 30th will receive an exclusive pair of Elf + (and) Red Cross socks, while supplies last.
