There are some interesting coaching changes that have been made as High School Basketball practice is about to begin in Wisconsin.
Former Valders Vikings star, Logan Vander Velden, is taking over the reins at Luxemburg Casco, replacing Tyler Thrune as the Spartans bench boss.
Also of note is John Polkowski switching from Green Bay Southwest to Pulaski where he replaces Manitowoc native David Shaw after the Lincoln grad decided to step away from coaching.
According to a list of changes on wissports.net, Rodney Owens takes over for Polkowski at Southwest.
And, longtime Green Bay East basketball coach Rick Rosinski moves from leading the Red Devils “across town” to Green Bay Preble, where he replaces Andy Bobholz.
And last but not least, Jerry Petitgoue, the all-time winningest basketball coach in Wisconsin history, has retired at Cuba City with ex-Reedsburg coach Tanner Schieve taking on the job.
