A man accused of a double murder in Green Bay has now been accused of assaulting a Brown County Correctional Officer.
Brown County Sheriff Todd Delain says on Thursday morning October 12th, 49-year-old Richard Sotka II allegedly assaulted the officer but was restrained quickly by responding jail officials.
The officer in the attack was taken to a local hospital but was released the same morning.
Investigators with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office said after an investigation, the case against Sotka was turned over to the District Attorney’s Office on October 31st.
His first appearance in the case is set for today.
