Veteran’s Day in Two Rivers is going to be bigger and better than ever thanks to plans from Two Rivers High School.
On Friday, November 10th, the cafeteria will be well decorated and the students whose family members are Veterans will join them for breakfast at 8:30 a.m.
Then, at 9:15 a.m., all veterans are invited to join the Raiders community for a Veteran’s Day ceremony.
Traditional patriotic music will be played by the High School band and the chorus will sing some patriotic songs.
Members of Two Rivers City Council will be in attendance along with members of the Patriot Riders WI, Chapter 2.
There will be several featured speakers, including Principal Tim Engh, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Greg Morgan, American Legion Post 165 Commander Kurt Carlson, and VFW Post 1248 Commander Jimmy Johnson.
Following this ceremony, Koenig Elementary School at 10:15 a.m. will recognize the Veterans followed by lunch at Meadow View Assisted Living at noon.
Ending the day, Veterans are invited to attend J.F. Magee Elementary School for their ceremony at 1:30 p.m.
