
A fantastic Two Rivers Raiders Football Season has come to an unfortunate end.
The Raiders were unable to hold off Luxemburg-Casco losing at home 24-21 at Jerry Bonino Field.
Luxemburg-Casco started off the night scoring a 6-yard rushing TD, but TR responded with a 1-yard rushing TD of their own by Quarterback Justin Klinkner.
However, an extra field goal and TD in the third quarter from LC made it 17-7.
The Raiders were able to come back and take the lead on two rushing touchdowns from Chase Matthais but a fantastic 25-yard throw and catch from Luxemburg-Casco sealed the game for the Spartans.
Justin Klinker was 7 of 14 on passing for 93 yards but was sacked 4 times, but he rushed 14 times for 25 yards.
Senior Chase Matthias had 16 carries for 148 yards on the day for his final game.
On defense Max and Chase Matthias, Justin and Derek Klinkner, and Ashton Peterson all had 7 tackles in the game with Chase and Christian Pyles each having an interception.
Luxemburg-Casco QB Max Ronsmann went 14 of 27 passing for 204 yards on the day.
Lux-Casco will go on to face Catholic Memorial at the State Qualifier game.
