The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection has extended the organic certification deadline.
The deadline for organic food processors and producers to apply for reimbursement was originally scheduled for October 31st but has been extended to December 8th.
Any farms or businesses from Wisconsin that paid expenses related to organic certification during the time from October 1st, 2022, through September 30th, 2023, are eligible to be reimbursed.
Farms and businesses who apply could be reimbursed for 75% of certification-related expenses.
