Manitowoc Police have released a description of a weekend shooting suspect based on multiple witness interviews.
Captain Peter McGinty says they are looking For an African American male in his thirties, 5-foot-nine inches to six-foot tall with a slim build, clean shaven with short black style hair and was wearing dark colored clothing.
The suspect may also have facial injuries because of the altercation with the victim.
He displayed a handgun, then fled the area of the 2700 block of Viebahn Street following the shooting which police responded to early Saturday afternoon.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by Manitowoc Fire and Rescue and no further information is available as this incident remains under investigation.
The investigation indicates that this shooting was not random and was directed at the victim specifically.
Manitowoc Police are awaiting results from The Madison Crime Lab which may help identify the suspect.
