A 61-year-old Manitowoc woman is free on a $650 signature bond for her alleged involvement in an argument outside The Golden Flame Restaurant on Monday.
Gale J. Dix has been charged with Battery and Disorderly Conduct.
Officers responded to The Custer Street business for a call of a woman (Dix) who was leaving after an altercation.
She eventually told officers that she was accused of stealing two phones at the restaurant, so she got up to an ATM to get money to pay for her food and leave.
The victim told police the argument began over who was going to pick up the check and when they got to the parking lot, the victim claimed that Dix removed some items from a car, hit them with a phone and punched them.
An employee confirmed what happened and Dix was taken into custody. The lone condition of bail is that Dix is to have no “abusive or assaultive” contact with the victim.
Her initial court appearance is scheduled for November 30th.
