Over 800 pounds of prescription drugs were collected during Manitowoc County’s Fall drug collection.
All drug disposal receptacles in the county were collected last week and were taken to Fond Du Lac for proper disposal.
Most of the drugs were collected at the Manitowoc Police Department with 433 pounds of unwanted or unneeded drugs dropped off.
The next department was the Two Rivers collected almost 200 pounds of pills.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank the community for taking advantage of the disposal and those who assisted in making the program as successful as it was.
