The Two Rivers City Council has updated an ordinance that allows an extra hour of noise for businesses on weekends.
Police Chief Ben Meinnert says the change means police will enforce the noise ordinance Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. but on Friday and Saturday, it starts at 11:00 and goes on until 6:00 a.m.
Meinnert also explains, “We also agreed that the vibration portion of that should be in the same time period. Those adjustments were made as well as we were already doing in our investigation a violation should require a verification of an officer and the identified complainant. “
The council unanimously approved the ordinance after a long discussion during a previous work session.
They also updated the hours for beer gardens opening late and for sidewalk cafes.
