Manitowoc native and Roncalli HS graduate Keith Klestinski has joined his late father, Ron Klestinski, in coaching a state championship football team.
Keith, in his 4th season as head coach at Marquette HS in Milwaukee, led the Hilltoppers to a 27-10 victory last night over previously undefeated Franklin
in the WIAA Division One title game at Barry Alvarez Field Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
The win comes 54 years after Keith’s father Ron led the Roncalli Jets to victory over Chippewa Falls McDonnell in the first ever state football championship game under WISAA at Lambeau Field.
Badger captured the Division Two crown with a 34-33 win over Waunakee and Rice Lake wins The Division Three championship with a 28 to 20 victory over Grafton.
