The Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers Girls Basketball Team is off to a 2 and 0 start after defeating a highly regarded Winnebago Lutheran Academy team 66 to 65 in a non-conference game in Fond Du Lac.
The Lancers trailed 40 to 31 at halftime before clamping down defensively, holding The Vikings to 25 second-half points and rallying to win.
Coach Mike Behnke’s team was led by sophomore Marissa Melhorn’s game high 22 points while junior Ginevra Ermis chipped in 18.
