A woman has been charged after allegedly fighting with someone because she surrendered a large dog to the Lakeshore Humane Society without permission.
Manitowoc Police were called to a residence Saturday just after 4:15 pm on a report of a physical fight.
Police say that they found a person who witnessed the fight, and they said the suspect got physical when the victim picked up her small dog and began arguing.
The victim also said the suspect was “attacking” and “wailing” on them plus the 41-year-old woman came up from behind and put her hands around them.
The suspect said she surrendered the large dog because it “attempted to kill her little dog” and she put her hands on the victim to get her dog back.
Police ended up taking the suspect to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of physical abuse of a child and strangulation and suffocation.
