Bail is set at $3,000 signature bond for a 41-year-old Manitowoc woman for her role in an alleged fight in connection to the surrender of a dog to The Lakeshore Humane Society without the owner’s permission.
Lindsey M. Sturdevant is charged with Physical Abuse of a Child and Strangulation and Suffocation.
Police responded to a residence last Saturday afternoon for the report of a physical fight.
A witness said that Sturdevant got physical when the victim’s larger dog attempted to in her words “kill her smaller dog” and an argument ensued.
The victim added that Sturdevant was attacking and wailing on her, coming from behind and put her hands around them.
She said she did that so she could get her dog back but was eventually taken into custody.
The lone condition of bail is that Sturdevant have “no contact” with the victim and comply with restrictions imposed by The Manitowoc County Department of Human Services.
Her initial appearance is scheduled for December 11th at 1:30.
