A Manitowoc man was given several charges after breaking furniture and strangling someone over weeks.
Manitowoc Police were called to a residence at 3:30 Monday afternoon after someone called police saying the 24-year-old man was trashing their house and refusing to leave.
The victim said they told the man to leave, and he started to break a bedframe.
He then started taking things from a TV stand before throwing it outside on the driveway.
Other incidents the man allegedly caused included choking the victim on a bed, punching a bedroom door when the victim tried to get away from him, and allegedly throwing a glass table a few days before.
When police were taking the suspect to the squad car, he fell to the ground and reportedly hit his head on the roadway intentionally.
An ambulance was called, and the suspect was treated at Holy Family Memorial.
He was later taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of intimidation of a victim, strangulation and suffocation, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
