A Green Bay man has been convicted in a family killing case.
32-year-old Oscar Lemus-Franco was found guilty due to no-contest pleas on two counts of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide for the 2020 killing of Gerson Alvarez-Franco and Jamie Lemus, and Reckless Injury for attacking a police officer.
Despite the no-contest plea, Lemus-Franco will still face a jury, as he also pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
He was arrested in September 2020 after he reportedly shot his family members in an apartment in the 500 block of Clement Street.
Lemus-Franco fled from police but crashed his car near the intersection of North Broadway and Dousman Street.
He attempted to flee on foot but was caught.
He then stabbed an officer in the face as he was being detained.
His trial has been scheduled for May 1st, 2024.
