A Manitowoc dentist was sworn in as the president of the Wisconsin Dental Association earlier this month.
Dr. Chris Hansen is a retired dentist who lives in Manitowoc but has worked in Two Rivers.
He took an oath as the president of the 3,100-member WDA at the group’s 153rd House of Delegates which was held in Middleton. T
he WDA says Hansen has been an active member of the group for 40 years serving on the Wisconsin Dental Political Action Committee for over 11 years, including as chair from 2013-2019.
Hansen will keep his term until 2024. Other members sworn in include President-Elect Dr Tom Reid from Madison, VP Dr. Rachel Steele from Black River Falls, Speaker of the House Dor. Monica Hebl of Milwaukee, and Trustee Dr. Andy Smith, also from Milwaukee.
The WDA also had other recent elections for other trustees including Dr. Eric Childs who also practices in Manitowoc.
