If don’t freeze your Thanksgiving leftovers by Monday (November 27th), you are going to want to throw them out.
The US Department of Agriculture says Thanksgiving leftovers are good for only about three to four days if kept in a container.
They can last about two to six months, depending on what the food is, in the freezer.
The USDA says bacteria can cause foodborne illnesses that can’t be smelled or tasted either, you can’t depend on your nose and mouth to determine if food is still good.
You’ll want to reheat food again to at least 165 degrees to kill off any foodborne bacteria.
