Bail was set at $2,000 recognizance Tuesday afternoon for a 31-year-old Manitowoc man who’s accused of trashing a Manitowoc Police Department Interrogation Room.
Antonio Wells is charged with Criminal Damage to Property, Obstructing and Six Counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Wells was operating a vehicle on Franklin Street late Monday night when it was discovered that the vehicle had several unpaid parking tickets on file.
An officer pulled Wells over and found out that he also had no valid driver’s license.
He was detained and placed into an interrogation room, but when the officer closed the door, he heard a loud crash inside.
He saw a damaged “flipped over” table, re-cuffed Wells and took him into custody.
The lone condition of bail is that Wells is to maintain “absolute sobriety” and his initial appearance is scheduled for December 18th at 1:30.
