A local clergyman has been honored by Roncalli High School.
During their Grandparents’ & Grandfriends’ Day event last Wednesday (November 22nd), the high school awarded the Reverand Dave Pleier of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish with the Distinguished Service Award.
Roncalli administrators noted that “Fr. Pleier has performed countless baptisms, weddings, and funerals, and has continued to stay connected to Roncalli students into their adult lives. He has mentored many through their own challenges and has always been a good role model with valuable advice.”
Fr. Pleier has been quoted as saying his favorite part of being a priest is “being invited into the deepest parts of people’s lives.”
