Ezra McCandless is pursuing a new appeal in her murder case.
McCandless’ legal team has filed an appeal with Wisconsin’s appellate court, seeking a retrial and requesting that her police interviews be excluded from any new proceedings.
McCandless is serving a life sentence for the 2018 stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend, whose body she left in a car between Eau Claire and Menomonie.
This appeal follows a recent denial of a new trial by a Dunn County judge.
