Bail is set at $200 cash for a 22-year-old woman who’s accused of stealing from The Manitowoc Walmart Store.
Taneekja A. Wellner, who provided no address to the court, is charged with Retail Theft and Felony Jumping.
Manitowoc Police were called to the Calumet Avenue business Thursday evening to investigate a theft report.
Two individuals, Wellner and a male suspect who left on foot, were involved in the alleged crime.
When officers approached Wellner, she tried to conceal items and noticed numerous open packages and a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.
She admitted to officers that she came to the store with the unidentified male suspect and panicked when he left.
Wellner added she had no intention of paying for the items in her possession and was taken into custody without further incident.
Conditions of bail are that Wellner is not to possess any controlled substances without a prescription and to maintain absolute sobriety.
She remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for December 11th at 1:30 p.m.
